Appalachian Ballet Company Auditions

Appalachian Ballet Company will hold Company Auditions for the 2026-2027 Season on Saturday, August 15th 2026 at our home studio, Van Metre School of Dance.

Dancers must be 10 years old by December 31, 2026 in order to audition

Dancers will participate in a ballet class with a panel of qualified judges. Please note the following times to attend. Dancers ages 12 and up should be prepared to dance en pointe.

• 11:30 to 12:30 - Ages 10-11

  (Arrive 15 minutes early to register)

• 12:45 to 2:15 - Ages 12-14

  (Registration opens 30 minutes prior)

• 2:30 to 4:15 - Ages 15+

(Arrive early to warm yourself up, there will be no barre in this audition. Registration opens 30 minutes prior)

The audition fee is $20. Artistic Directors, Amy Morton Vaughn and Kylie Morton Berry, along with a panel of judges, will be searching for dancers with solid classical training, good musicality, engaging acting skills, and a desire to dance. The ballet company is proud to be the Resident Dance Company for the Clayton Center for the Arts.
